Technical Product Manager - Customer Experience

The Technical Product Manager will lead the technical product delivery roadmap across the Customer Product Domain - consisting of  the domains of Traffic, Landing Pages, Product and Cart/Checkout. This person is responsible for working with business and technical teams to define product requirements and deliver new platforms and functionality. This person should be comfortable communicating product vision to senior management and business teams. The role will also require working with vendors and help to determine vendor selection for technical systems. This person will drive technical teams and business partners across assigned product domains, and the role will involve managing communication and developing technical implementation plans across the domain. This persons technical skills are foundational along with a proven ability to design and deliver customer-centric solutions. 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Partner with business teams on technical product vision and prioritization.
  • Work closely with the development team on regarding the vision and requirements.
  • Define and socialize technical product plan and roadmap. Evangelize throughout organization.
  • Facilitate trade-off decisions between investment, schedule and customer benefit.
  • Actively lead risk mitigation and product management; lead problem resolution as issues arise
  • Build strong relationships with key technical teams acting as technical lead across one or multiple engineering product domains
  • Set technical product goals and show measurable results.
  • Deliver high quality software against aggressive schedules in an Agile/Scrum environment.
  • Report on status of development, quality, operations, and system performance to leadership.

 

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required and preference for majors in Computer Science, Engineering or Math.
  • Experience in developing technical roadmaps, writing user stories, grooming product backlogs and coordinating/prioritizing conflicting requirements in a fast paced, changing environment.
  • Ability to analyze data and metrics to measure success against goals, determine root cause of complex problems 
  • 5 years of experience in software product development or technical delivery leadership including successful delivery of complex products.
  • 3 years of experience managing integrations across multiple product services, both internal and external.
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills are a must, as well as the ability to work effectively across internal and external organizations.
  • Experience working with distributed systems and architectures, including SOA, SaaS and micro services approaches.
