  • Assist with development and formulation of short and long range planning to grow the business.
  • Maintain standards and strive for service level improvements. Culture of continuous process improvements.
  • Manage the effective flow of merchandise from receipt through to order pick, pack, put away, and delivery.
  • Partner with inventory management to ensure process is accurate and inhibits error and inventory shrink, while maintaining desired service level standards.
  • On-going partnership with Loss Prevention to ensure safe, risk-free environment.
  • Ensure vendor compliance standards and audits exist to achieve agreed upon, contractual expectations – delivery times, condition of cartons, packaging, ticketing, etc.
  • Develops and maintain partnership with Call Center leadership to ensure customer experience is seamless from order taken to delivery confirmation.
  • Play role in building the budget- capital, labor, and expense. Additionally, review/evaluating monthly performance to budget and adjusts accordingly.
  • Collaborate across all departments to drive optimal productivity – foster an environment in which diverse backgrounds are respected and valued.
  • Partner with Human Resources to recruit, retain, and develop the best and the brightest.
  • Cultivate an environment of mentoring by coaching and mentoring your direct reports and setting the expectation that they do the same.
  • Partner with transportation department to ensure on-going relationship with carriers that promotes efficiency and best practices that result in the ultimate customer satisfaction.


  • A four-year College Degree in management, business administration or related study, or five years of related field experience.
  • Must have 7 to 10 years prior management experience in a distribution center (preferably ecommerce).
  • Prior experience with the implementation of a new WMS preferred.
  • Extensive knowledge of Distribution operations (material handling equipment) and merchandise flow.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Good communication skills both verbally and written including the ability to communicate with all levels of associates and executive management.

  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
  • Ability to prioritize work based on delivery schedule.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Access), and SAP or similar information system.
