The first Madewell store opened in 2006, fast forward to today and the brand has over 120 locations and a thriving online business. Now offering both women’s and men’s, denim is still at the core of everything we do.


Madewell is looking for a Wholesale Marketing Associate to provide brand leadership for multi-channel co-op marketing activities. The ideal candidate will work cross functionally with the account management teams, design, creative, and brand marketing to ensure wholesale accounts have marketing plans and assets that align with the brand’s focus.


The Marketing team is comprised of driven big thinkers that are dedicated to finding the most effective and creative ways to achieve brand love and awareness, and our ideal candidate will work to bring together our key stakeholders across our business to align and execute Madewell’s innovative initiatives and strategic goals.


Primary Responsibilities:

  • Act as marketing lead for all Madewell wholesale accounts and international endeavors 
  • Maintain insight into Madewell marketing strategies and product priorities to ensure a cohesive messaging across all accounts
  • Attend market week appointments to share the brand’s product strategies and asset options. Be the liaison for partner needs and insights to the marketing and creative team
  • Establish relationships with partners and communicate directly and regularly with accounts to ensure success
  • Develop seasonal global collateral materials for trade and consumers
  • Plan and execute marketing initiatives for accounts to drive sales including new product launches, new store openings, special events, and advertising
  • Collaborate with brand creative on all asset needs and styling direction from partners
  • Work closely with wholesale account teams and finance to oversee tracking and execution of co op marketing funds across clients



  • 2-3 years experience working within Wholesale
  • Ability to effectively work cross-functionally and regionally without direct authority to secure inputs and alignments
  • Strong business and financial acumen
  • Ability to write business recaps and share with leadership

  • Exceptional organizational and project management skills required
  • Understanding of the Madewell customer and passion for the brand
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (modeling, v-lookup, pivot tables) and PowerPoint
