The Global Supply Chain Team is responsible for the operations and strategic direction of transportation and distribution of merchandise through J.Crew’s multi-channel supply chain. The Manager of Supply Chain Operational Analytics will build a team that can manage big data, conduct analysis, provide data backed recommendations with the goal improving the organization's supply chain operations. The Manager will support various initiatives and growth of reporting and visibility tools.

 

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Recruit, lead and train staff on the Inbound Flow of Merchandise through the Supply Chain
  • Maintain high functioning team of supply chain professionals through continual training and development
  • Be a Leader in the J. Crew Supply Chain Team! Engage in cross-functional activities and demonstrate exceptional leadership skills in all areas both managed and supported
  • Assume primary design/coding responsibility for PO Visibility in Qliksense Reporting development
  • Organize and build database and data mining tools
  • Analyze data to identify problematic areas and suggest improvements
  • Track KPIs and report on supply chain’s performance
  • Prepares and updates business reporting as requested by the Supply Chain Team
  • Communicate issues effectively and ensures that issues are resolved in a timely manner
  • Evolve existing tools for supply chain visibility based on experience and learning’s from role

 

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required (or equivalent work experience)
  • 5+ years of relevant industry experience with focus on logistics
  • Supply chain and retail, especially fashion/soft lines, experience a plus
  • QlickView/Qlicksense Experience Required
  • Microsoft Office skills required with strong Excel and Access skills
  • Experience with one or more of the following: C/C ++, SQL and/or PLSQL, UNIX, Oracle 10g, Java, Visual Basic, VB.net, Uniface

  • Strong written, verbal and presentation skills
  • Must demonstrate critical thinking and analytical skills

 

Physical Requirements:

  • An office position which requires minimum lifting carrying, pushing, pulling, reaching, grasping, bending, walking, climbing stairs, standing and stooping
  • Ability to sit in a chair at a desk most of the time
  • Ability to type and read computer screen
  • An office environment within a Distribution Center/Warehouse environment
