Payroll Supervisor

Responsibilities:

  • Inputs, processes, and manages Company payrolls through use of the HRIS and payroll systems.
  • Ensures the timely review of all time and attendance submissions, new hires, rehires, compensation changes, terminations, leaves of absence, and paycheck deductions, earnings, and taxes, etc. Processes and analyzes reports to ensure accurate payrolls.
  • Acts as the main point of contact for employees for all payroll-related questions. Researches and responds to a variety of employee concerns in a timely manner.
  • Manage a payroll associate. Mentor, train, and professionally develop them into the world of payroll.
  • As needed assistance with review and posting payroll related journal entries.
  • Maintains electronic filing of payroll documentation.
  • Works proactively to improve the performance of the department through re-evaluation of current processes and as upgrades and enhancements to software are introduced.
  • Keeps informed of all payroll, tax, and other relevant employer changes in laws and compliance and advises managers and employees as necessary.
  • Help implement new HRIS and payroll system, and assist in developing the process of the payroll function.
  • Performs any other duties reasonably related to the functions described above.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources or related field required
  • 3+ years Payroll Administration experience
  • Extensive knowledge of the payroll function including preparation, balancing, internal control, and payroll taxes.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
