ROLE: Brand Marketing Associate, Partnerships & Experiential

REPORTS TO: Brand Marketing Manager


Madewell is looking for a passionate, highly motivated brand marketer and creative problem solver to support all brand marketing initiatives. This role will be tasked with ensuring we’re successfully bringing to life brand initiatives and innovations from partnerships and collaborations, mission driven programs and disruptive activations. The ideal candidate has their finger on the pulse, is energized by the idea of differentiating Madewell to new customers and building brand love within our existing community. 


This role will work hand in hand with Brand Marketing Manager on ideation to execution of all brand love initiatives.

We want you to:

  • ·         Drive the ideation and execution of key brand marketing initiatives such as collaborations, strategic partnerships, mission driven programs, and experiential activations
  • ·         Author marketing briefs for brand initiatives that communicate clear objectives, insights, messaging direction and deliverables for creative, operations and channel partners to ensure all aspects are aligned with core strategy and content outputs
  • ·         Research retail landscape for trends and innovations in marketing, branding and activations innovation messaging and serve up emerging opportunities to drive future concepts and strategy
  • ·         Foster strong relationships with external partners and liaise with internal team to deliver assets and information between parties 
  • ·         Develop and execute always-on brand programs (Hometown Heroes, Do Well) to ensure they run and grow successfully on an ongoing basis 
  • ·         Collaborate with cross-functional partners, including legal, finance, creative operations, merchandising and digital operations to ensure successful tactical execution of marketing campaigns
  • ·         Create recaps and post-mortem reports for key marketing moments, investigating performance and collaborating with channel owners to collate and evaluate content, messaging, and marketing performance to drive learnings and actionable recommendations
  • ·         Maintain team project status for all brand initiatives


Oh, and by the way, you should have: 

  • ·         Master’s or Bachelor’s Degree
  • ·         3-4 years of work experience
  • ·         Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • ·         Excellent verbal and written communication skills, creative, out of the box thinker and comfortable presenting in front of groups
  • ·         Adaptability and multi-tasking capability, with solid time management
  • ·         Strong attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills
  • ·         Ability to draw insights from data sources and make connections between qualitative and quantitative data
  • ·         Proven ability to work with a wide range of cross-functional teams, from merchandising and creative, to operations teams
  • ·         Demonstrate ability to work in a collaborative environment and dynamically align to changing business conditions
