About the Team


The brand awareness team is responsible for Madewell's paid influencer strategy and growing brand ambassador program, which both serve the dual purpose of being a key customer acquisition and storytelling channel for the brand. We work to reach our target audience at scale by identifying influencers/ambassadors, activating our community, and amplifying our brand story through relevant campaigns and channels.

About The Job

We are looking for an Influencer Marketing Associate to join a talented team responsible for paid influencer and ambassador marketing. Our ideal candidate is a brand storyteller, culture maven, and community builder – while also being focused on reporting on key impressions and acquisition metrics, comfortable with contracts and tracking budget. This role reports into the Brand Marketing & Communications Manager.

We want you to…

  • Execute a robust paid influencer strategy to drive new customer acquisition and brand awareness, and amplifying key brand messaging and moments.
  • Create compelling influencer campaign concepts that garner traction beyond paid spend.
  • Maintain overarching program infrastructure, including program brand messaging, rules of engagement, toolkits, etc.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure our content is reflecting product priorities and creative standards as needed.
  • Identify Influencer/ affiliate/ ambassador partnership opportunities.
  • Execute consistent relationship cultivation, development and maintenance with influencers and content creators.
  • Define and develop influencer marketing strategy to encourage brand love and support key product launches.
  • Manage monthly campaigns inclusive of budget tracking such as developing, writing and creating campaign briefs for content and identify additional creative support needed.
  • Analyze, review, and report on effectiveness of campaigns to maximize results.
  • Evaluate social postings for all influencers and provide feedback that aligns with brand values.
  • Manage all shipping, billing, & product inventory.

Oh, and by the way, you…

  • Have 1-2 years influencer marketing and/or social media experience preferred. Fashion or startup industry experience or heavy interest, a plus.
  • Have excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects at a time.
  • Have a strong attention to detail and ability to deliver creative feedback.
  • Have solid written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be a resourceful problem solver.
  • Have an excitement for learning, are open to new experiences and challenges in a fast-paced environment.
  • Are personable and flexible with demands and changes in extremely fast-moving business environment.
  • Have a willingness to go the distance to get a job done.
  • Are proficient in relevant social channels including Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Snapchat, TikTok and YouTube
