ROLE: PR & Marketing Associate

REPORTS TO: Director, PR & Purpose

OVERVIEW: J.Crew is looking for a passionate, highly motivated marketing associate that excels in translating brand positioning into an effective, cross-channel marketing purpose strategy. The ideal candidate is curious about where the industry is heading and dedicated to finding new ways to grow brands in an evolving retail landscape. The associate will support all J.Crew purpose marketing, including J.Crew Re-Imagined, Garments for Good, Upcycling programs and charitable initiatives.

This role is responsible for bringing innovative ideas to the purpose space, supporting agency communications and sharing industry news. This person will be the cross functional “dot connector” between key internal teams, and help execute purpose marketing across all channels.

We’re looking for a creative and strategic thinker who is passionate about J.Crew, on top of industry trends and an enthusiastic team player who can support the ebbs and flows of the marketing landscape.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to foster and maintain collaborative relationships with internal business partners and with overseas teams
• Ability to manage multiple projects at the same time
• Team player with the capability to work across different stakeholder groups and hierarchies
• Strong Excel savvy for creating data-driven dashboards, as well as Power Point knowledge for effective presentations
• Strong writing skills
• Agency background welcome
• Previous related work experience in sustainability/corporate social responsibility or the apparel industry preferred (preferred but not necessary)
