The Facilities and Maintenance Manager will ensure proper and efficient operation of the Distribution and Call Center facilities and equipment, supporting the business needs with minimal interruption, ensuring a safe and healthy work environment, and at lowest effective cost.



  • Assign and prioritize work for maintenance staff across 2-shift operation, working through your Shift Supervisors as well as directly with other staff, to ensure timely completion of tasks. 
  • Develop and maintain preventative maintenance schedules, reporting and procedures as needed to minimize downtime.
  • Interact with and coordinate vendors and suppliers as required to support the business, for both project-based and contracted services.
  • Take the lead and ownership as first contact for facility- and equipment-related issues and downtime resolution.
  • Establish and maintain good cooperative working relationships with DC and Call Center Operations and Loss Prevention associates and management, balancing work requests and priorities with needs of internal customers.
  • Achieve facility and service needs of the operation within budgeted parameters. 
  • Identify, recommend, and implement cost, service, and/or quality improvement opportunities related to your areas of responsibility.
  • Develop annual budget for facility related, expenses, maintenance labor, services, support contracts, equipment and supplies.
  • Manage your cross-functional skilled team including, training, payroll corrections, vacation approval, and other normal human resource activities.



  • Sound knowledge and experience with basic facility systems – electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and similar. 
  • Diagnostic and tool skills required to help your team diagnose equipment and system problems as they arise to minimize downtime.  
  • Experience with building maintenance and/or construction, and reading blueprints. 
  • Prefer direct experience with assorted material handling systems and equipment (lift trucks, powered conveyor and PC- or PLC-based automation control systems, for example).
  • Prefer at least 5 years supervisory experience in a maintenance or engineering capacity. 
  • Ability to effectively communicate –verbally and in writing- and work with teammates, subordinates and all levels of management toward company success.
  • Preference given for accredited degree in mechanical, electrical, industrial or related engineering field, and/or accredited technical training and expanded experience in the field.
  • Effective PC skills with MS Office products (Excel, Word, Project, Access).  Prefer AutoCAD LT skill set.
