J.Crew is currently seeking a North American Logistics Operations Intern in Asheville, NC.  J.Crew is among the most selective in the industry because we place a high value on fostering the next generation of talent.  We are scouting for rising Seniors, or 2023 graduates interested in starting on a path to an amazing career.  At J.Crew, you will gain an educational experience in our Retail/Wholesale Distribution Center by working with experienced Logistics & Supply Chain leaders.

Project

The intern will manage the flow of freight from the ports of entry through to J.Crew’s Distribution Centers, and then out from J.Crew’s Distribution Centers to J.Crew’s stores and end customers.  A critical eye is expected to help drive improvements.  The Intern will be a primary point of contact for logistics service providers, distribution centers, and internal stakeholders.  High level, proactive, concise communication is key to success in this role.

Qualifications

• Internship is designed for rising Seniors or 2023 graduates
• Currently enrolled in a related degree program – Business, Supply Chain & Logistics or Data Analytics
• Proficient in MS Office (Excel & PowerPoint in particular)
• Experience with data analytics tools preferred (Qlik, Power BI, Tableau, etc)
• Detail oriented with ability to multi-task
• Strong written, verbal and presentation skills
• Must demonstrate critical thinking and analytical skills
• Self-starter with strong problem-solving skills
• Accountable for results, strives to meet and exceed expectations
• Demonstrated partnership skills
• Time management/prioritization and follow-up skills  
• Comfortable with ambiguity
